Great Big Dahlia

The first big Dahlia finally opened all the way up this weekend. As you can see, it is much bigger than my hands. Just as a recap: I've never tried dahlia's before. This year I picked up some rhizomes and started them indoors. I have 5 in the front garden bed, and 2 in pots. I love the result so far, and will always have dahlias (if I can get the rhizomes to overwinter successfully in the house).
