Theo Update

Just FYI:
Last week we received a letter from the doc from UW-Madison stating Theo's final diagnosis is viral meningitis. The doctor believes that VM caused the seizures, and Theo no longer shows any sign that the seizures will reoccur. Good news. He does not show any present viruses, or infections, and his final spinal tap, 2 weeks ago, was normal.

Theo had an appointment with his neurologist yesterday morning. With the VM diagnosis Theo went in hoping the doc would take him off the seizure medication, and clear him to begin consuming the occasional beer. No-go. The doc said he does have to stay on the medication for a year, and consuming an alcoholic beverage while on the medication would triple the effects of the alcohol. So Theo is bummed. But, he does get his driver's license back in less than two weeks. He could not be more happy about that!

We learned that the state of Wisconsin's laws require anyone who has seizures to relinquish their Commercial Driver's License (CDL, used for operating semi-trucks, etc.) for 10 years! Thank God the Army does not require Theo to have a CDL to operate the Army vehicles; Theo regularly drives semi-trucks, forklifts, etc at work. In WI, seizures could quickly end a working man's career. Can you imagine? Thank goodness.

Theo had the day off after his appointment and we had loads of fun soaking up the sun in a number of ways, enjoy the pictures in the blogs below!

Oh, and no blog is nearly as good without pictures. Theo made pudding for dessert last night. He drew on it with gel cake frosting stuff. Reason #7896 why I love my husband:
