Adding Another Lady to the Family

Y'all know I'm hooked on craigslist, an online classified ad website. We've bought our truck, dining room table and chairs, & a twin bed (for $5) on the website so far. Last week I was checking the farm and garden section and saw an add for a yellow lab. She's 8 years old, and needing more attention than she's getting (her owner works too much, and the kids play with their puppy a lot more than her), and more room to run (her property had ponds and such, but they've added new housing, so the ponds she used to romp freely in now belong to people who don't appreciate her free-roaming ways). She's great to with kids, a good duck hunter, and very lovable. She and AKC certified yellow lab. Oh, and all her shots are to date and such.

I had Theo inquire, and after some e-mails and phone chats it seemed like a match made in heaven. We have tons of love to give, and she needs it. We found out she had spent the whole summer in an outdoor kennel! My heart breaks thinking of this happy girl like that. And her name, her name is "Tex," making her "Tex Rex" now. Hilarious.

So she's with us now. And she fits right in. Laura love her, the kids think she's awesome. She's patient with them, gently takes bisquits from me and follows me all over the house. She's lovable, and quite cute. Theo is in dog heaven--he loves having two pretty girls to spoil. He's really a dog man. So, we're now a family of 7.
