road trip in the new truck

I haven't vanished, we just took a little road trip to Peoria to see the family. A great time was had by all (thank you Angie, Terry, and Uncle Trash for your hospitality). We felt we needed to be in Bear's territory to watch the Bear's play in the Superbowl. More to come on this...

The truck ran great. We had tons of room to haul all the necessities. I had lots more nap room. Ben loves riding in the truck! He thinks it's his truck, "Ben's truck." Laura did great. She had more room to nap, too.

We left on Saturday morning, and drove down. It snowed some of the drive, so we had to bag our stuff in garbage bags in the bed of the truck. We spent Saturday having "Christmas" with the family. Then on Sunday we went and visited Grandpa Ted, and went back to Angie and Terry's for the Superbowl. We pigged out on delicious candy covered apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Aunt Di's hot potato salad, some great beef sandwiches, and I baked a ton of cookies and brownies. Yum.
We headed back on Monday morning. Despite a little bit of bad luck (a broken fridge, spilled case of exploding soda, a broken shower, and some intensely cold outdoor temps), it was a great journey. Hope to see you all again soon! More pictures to come!
