Snowfall Pictures. The Great Blizzard of 08'

I finally uploaded pictures of the big winter storm we had this week.

Here's an image of the white out conditions at the start of the storm. You can see the neighbor in their snowblower coming down the sidewalk.

.

This picture is looking out our front window, in the middle of the storm.

This is a picture of our TV as the local news chennel showed footage from their roadcams. This is I-90! Theo was on this road when I was watching the news and looking at this picture! See the semi? Barely.

When Theo did get home he had to shovel to get the car in the driveway. Here is standing on our sidewalk, at the edge of our grass. the snow is nearly above his knees!

The next morning we had drifting snow everywhere. This is our dining room window on the back porch.

This is the boys' swing. If you look close you can the swing is barely skimming the top of the snow! The drifts are actually pretty.

When we opened our backdoor we found this:

This is the drift on our back porch, a photo taken as I kneeled...

Theo clears the drift on the porch and prepared to clear a space for the dogs to do their business. For the record, he is wearing his duck-hunting waders. LOL.

He lets Tex out as he shoveled, and you can see she's on top of the snow, and you can barely see her legs.

This is Theo's truck. A lot of the snow blew off of it, but if you look the left of the truck, you can see 4 feet plus of snow blocking him in.

Here is a wider angle of the truck. I wish I could have got out there before the neighbor un-buried his van. It was totally covered by a drift that blew over his garage.

Our sidewalk.

Our buried mailbox.

Look close at this one: this is the middle of the street, and there is a 3-4 foot bank of snow in the middle of the road.

This is our front yard.

This snowfall was truly exciting. I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

I am not looking forward to coming back to that stuff. And to think, I thought the 65 degrees it hit yesterday here was down right arctic!
