Cranky The Crane Arrives!

For several months Ben has been asking for Cranky The Crane. He watches Thomas and Friends on TV, and of all the character's, Cranky is his current favorite. Our Thomas the Tank Engine set is made by TOMY, a company based out the UK, and so far, they have not made a Cranky component to their set. I have seen many cool Cranky's in stores, but I imagined Ben spending hours trying to fit those Cranky's to the blue track of our set, not understanding why they didn't fit. This year TOMY released a Cranky, but as of right now, it's only available in the UK (and it's so new, it's not even on the TOMY homepage yet).

If you've been paying attention, you know Grandma likes to spoil her Benjamin. She and I have been on the watch for Cranky- we wanted to make sure we noticed when Cranky became available here in the US. I found a woman on EBay selling a Cranky from New Jersey! Grandma ordered him last week, and he arrived at our house on Monday. You can just guess Ben has done nothing but play with him since he got here. The Crane itself detaches from its base, so Ben has actually taken Cranky to bed with him.

Due to Hunter's learning how to climb on the table, we've moved the whole train set to the kitchen floor & propped up a gate in the doorway to keep Hunter at bay. This is the first time we've had the whole train set put up, as it all never did fit on the table. Pretty exciting stuff people.

Hunter is pretty peaved about not being able to play with the train set. We moved all the Little People into the living room for him to play with. He's figured out how to slide the cars down the ramps, and put the people in their cars. This is his own little village.

Oh my gosh-- y'all have a ton of Little People. Okay-- tell me if your guys ever did this: Harry has the farm and the airplane, and he likes to shut the farmer, the animals, the pilot, the passengers, and the luggage rack in the silo-- creepy, huh?
